Product Overview

A 12-channel ECG workstation with printing, storage and network transfer in one unit

The Mindray BeneHeart R12 is a 12-channel electrocardiograph that records and prints 12-lead resting ECG with a 10-second duration as standard. It combines acquisition, a built-in thermal printer, on-screen review and network transfer so a department can run a full ECG workflow without a separate workstation.

Signal quality is specified at a 1000 samples per second per channel ECG sampling rate with a 16000 samples per second per channel pacer detection channel, a 24-bit converter at 1 uV/LSB resolution, an input impedance above 50 MOhm at 10 Hz with defibrillator protection, and common mode rejection of at least 110 dB with the AC filter switched off. Interpretation uses the University of Glasgow 12-lead ECG analysis program for adults and pediatrics, and pacemaker detection is included so pacer information is not misinterpreted.

The operator interface is built around a frost membrane keyboard with optional touch bars, an on-screen full preview that avoids printing a report that is not needed, hot keys for common functions, and automatic re-analysis when patient information is edited. A barcode scanner can be connected to shorten data entry, configuration profiles can be printed, exported and imported between units, and reports can be transferred by wire or wirelessly to an ECG management system in XML or PDF. Internal memory holds 800 ECGs.

FAQ

Common questions about Mindray BeneHeart R12 12 Channel Electrocardiograph

What is the difference between the BeneHeart R12 and a single-channel ECG machine?

The R12 acquires and prints all 12 leads simultaneously rather than switching between them, so a 10-second 12-lead resting ECG is recorded as one standard acquisition. It also adds Glasgow interpretation, pacemaker detection, on-screen review and network transfer.

Which algorithm interprets the ECG?

The University of Glasgow 12-lead ECG analysis program, for adults and pediatrics. The program uses more variables than a conventional analysis, including age, gender and race.

Does the R12 detect pacemakers?

Yes. Pacemaker detection is included to prevent misinterpretation when pacer information is absent, and the R12 also flags six critical values for typical arrhythmias.

How are reports stored and exported?

Internal memory holds 800 ECGs in XML, PDF or Mindray format, with report layouts of 3x4+1R, 3x4+3R, 6x2, 6x2+1R and 12x1. Reports can be transferred by wire or wirelessly to an ECG management system and exported through FTP in XML or PDF.

What paper does the R12 use?

Thermal Z-fold paper in A4 (210 x 295 mm) or US Letter (215 x 280 mm). The built-in writer is a thermal dot array unit with paper speeds of 5, 12.5, 25 and 50 mm/s.
