Mindray VeLED Series Veterinary Surgical Lights
LED surgical and examination lights for veterinary theatres, with electronic focusing, adjustable light field from 170 to 250 mm and a 100,000-hour lamp rating.
ICEN supplies selected professional medical equipment. Product availability and market authorization vary by country.
Lighting specified for a veterinary theatre, not a human one
VeLED is Mindray’s LED surgical and examination lighting for veterinary practice. Note the scope precisely: it is published on mindrayanimal.com, and the human clinical lighting range is a different product line called HyLED. The two should not be quoted interchangeably.
The published figures are practical ones. Light field diameter is adjustable from 170 to 250 millimetres, electronic focusing converges over a working distance of 0.8 to 1.2 metres, and the installation needs a minimum ceiling height of 2.4 metres with a 1.7-metre rotation radius, which Mindray expresses as a minimum surgical area of 5 square metres.
Durability is stated in test cycles rather than adjectives: a 100,000-hour service life, 10,000-plus aging tests, 20,000 operation tests and 40,000-plus joint rotation tests, with compatibility declared for 25 disinfectants and an IP54 rating on the lamp head.

Common questions about Mindray VeLED Series Veterinary Surgical Lights
Are there sub-models such as VeLED 3.0 or 5.0?
No. Mindray’s official page publishes the range only as "VeLED Series", with surgical and examination variants described generically. No model-level designations or lux figures appear. If a quotation or listing names VeLED 3.0 or VeLED 5.0, that naming is not supported by the manufacturer and should be checked.
Is this the same as the HyLED range?
No. HyLED is Mindray’s human clinical surgical lighting. VeLED is published on the veterinary site and is specified for veterinary theatres.
What light output does it give?
Mindray does not publish illuminance, colour temperature or CRI for VeLED. Those are the figures most often compared between operating lights, so ask ICEN for the datasheet before you compare it with another brand.
What ceiling does it need?
A minimum ceiling height of 2.4 metres and a minimum surgical area of 5 square metres, with a 1.7-metre rotation radius.
How is it cleaned between cases?
The lamp head is rated IP54 and Mindray declares compatibility with 25 disinfectants.
What is Endo mode for?
It reduces ambient light output for endoscopic work, where the theatre is dimmed and the camera supplies the illumination at the surgical site.
